Thank you for listening, Debbie! Yes, I have similar fond memories of good things the pandemic did for my family, such as the kid who always hated hiking taking it up because he could do it with friends. Sometimes restrictions lead to creativity and new understanding.

Lovely interview. As a parent, I limited my kids to an hour of screen time every day. They could choose a video game, TV, or other device. This held until 2020, when my son was in high school. Then, his social life moved entirely online along with school. We also went hiking on weekends as a family. Now, we don't have the same time for hiking and he is on devices much of the time, though he does have a social life offline and a girlfriend. Sometimes I miss the simplicity of those pandemic days (though not the fear at all). And I very much miss the boy who read a book a day because he didn't have distractions.
